Somanathpur

The trip to Somanathpur was pending from long time.

We got up early in the morning and got ready. Mom prepared pulihora for lunch. We started from home at 7AM. We took Mysore road. The plan was to visit Somanathpur and Talakkad and return home by 7PM.

On the way we stopped at a hotel for breakfast. As usual, as other famous hotels on highway, we couldn't get what we want and had what he gave. The road was excellent till Maddur. Maddur to Malavalli was good. Malavalli to Bannur was ok. After that it was horrible. It took 5 hours to reach 150kms.









We spent an hour at Somanathpur and started to Talakkad. The road was nightmare. It took another 2 hours to reach around 25Kms.
We had our lunch there. I had lunch with a condition that I will be taken in to water
after lunch. Then we went for a coracle ride. But, I wanted to play in water. To make me happy, dad took me into water for some time.








The plan was to go home from Talakkad. But looking at my interest for playing in water, dad changed the plan to go to Sivanasamudram. It was 4PM.

We reached Sivanasamudram at 5PM. Went on coracle ride again. spend an hour and started back to Bangalore at around 6PM. Reached home at 11PM with a small tea and snack break at Maddur.

Nandi Hills

After a long gap, I am back to blogging.
After my birthday, I was busy with attending marriages during summer.
After that I went to few other places like Ghati Subramanya, Sangam, Bannerghatta National park and Tiruvanamalai, but couldn't find time to put them on blog.

My recent trip was to Nandi Hills. This is second time I visited Nandi Hills.

The plan was to go to Somanthpur on 11th of December. But by the time we got up in the morning it was already 8AM. So, dad wanted to do a short trip. He shortlisted Devarayana Durga and Nandi Hills. Finally, decided to go to Nandi Hills.

I was happy that we are going out.






We started at 11AM and reached there by 12:15PM. Visited the Nandiswara temple. Had lunch and roamed around the park there for 2 hours before returning home at 3PM.









Just before starting I bought a chips packet. I was holding the packet in my hand and waiting to get in to car. Suddenly one monkey came and grabbed the packed from my hand and ran away. I was scared and cried for some time. Dad and Mom tried lot of things to bring me out of shock and making me normal. I was in shock until we stopped back side of international airport on the way back home and saw few flight taking off and landing.

We reached home by 5PM

2nd Birthday

Hi,

I am in Nalgonda now enjoying Seekanth mama's marriage celebrations. I came to Hyderabad on March 16th to celebrate Ugadi with nanamma and thatha and attend mama's engagement. After mama's engagement on 18th, Dad went back to Bangalore. I went to nalgonda with mummy. From then I am in Nalgonda.... its too hot here. But... what to do.. mama should have married in winter. I hope Sinath mama will not marry in summer.

On birthday I got wishes from Lod Venkateswara on SVBC channel.


Dad came back from Bangalore on my birthday. Dad, nanamma and thatha came to Nalgonda on 31st at around 12 in the afternoon. After lunch at 4pm we went to town tour to visit relative in Nalgonda. I saw our house in Nalgonda for first time. In the evening at 6PM I wore new dress and cut cake. As usual dad had tough time to catch me on camera. He did his best to get some images.













Next morning (1st April) I went to Nemmani (Thatha's native) to see thathamma. We visited many relatives there and came back by lunch time to attend mama's function. I became thodu pelli koduku for mama. but, I didnt sit next to him.. it ws boring.. all new clothes were given to mama.. and I was just made to sit next him. So I didnt like it and didnt sit there for long.








After that we (me, daddy, thatha and nanamma) left to Hyderabad. Are you wondering where is mummy? She is in Nalgonda :-). For first time I left mummy. When I reached home in Hyderabad, I had a gift ready, sent by atha. Its a piano. I like it and played the music for some time on it. Want to listen it?







Ok. Thats about my birthday celebrations. I will come back with details on mama's marriage celebrations.

Sivaganga trip

I was happy on Friday evening when dad told that we will go to Sivaganga on Saurday. He called babai and told him to come home on friday night itself. In joy I played drums :-). I bought these from our last week's trip (Gavi gangadhareswara temple and Bull temple). Did I tell you guys about that trip??? I have no pics of that.





We started from home at 8:30AM. Crossing Hebbal, Peenya and Nelamangala, we reached Sivaganga by 10:30. It was very hot. The hill looked very good and tall (it seems it is 4000ft ASL). The temple is close to base at around 100 steps to climb. Me and babai climbed up the stairs first.







The temple is inside a cave and it was very hot there. All of us were sweating. After doing abhishekam, we roamed inside the temple. I was very curious to see the Nandi and was keenly observing it.












From there, we went on a walk around the temple. Its a big and very old temple but not maintained properly. More than devotees coming for temple, there were lots of young people visting the place for trekking. I also tried to do some trekking with dad's help.



Then we went to do some pradaskhina. But the door on the other end was closed, so we came back.







On the way down, a monkey suddenly came from nowhere and took the bag from mom's hand. The bag had prasadam, coconut, flowers etc. We went to another temple on the way down.
By then it was 1:30PM. We were hungry and wanted to have lunch but were scared of monkeys :-). So we decided to have lunch on the way back home. We stopped on road under a big peepal tree to have lunch at 2PM.



Then on our way back, we went to Vishwa santhi ashram near Nelamangala. The temple was very calm and peaceful.







I roamed around the temple and gave giftopadesham to babai. I hope he will buy me more gifts in guru dakshina.



I played in the garden there in the ashram for some time before leaving the place at 4PM. Bye-Bye.




We reached home at 5:15PM.

Garam Garam chai

Hyderabad

On 8th January, at around 1PM mummy got a call from thatha that nanamma is admitted in to hospital and is in ICU.
Immediately babai booked tickets to hyderabad by Indigo flight for daddy, mummy, me and babai. On our way airport, thatha called us again and told that nothing to worry and nanamma is doing fine, but is still in observation in ICU. We reached hospital at 10PM. We were not allowed to see her, I was not even allowed to go beyond hospital's reception area. They said children below 12years are not allowed to go into hospital. :-(.

It was my first flight journey. I enjoyed roaming around in the airport. It was full of lights. I was not given any seat and was sitting in mummy's lap. I enjoyed watching lights below while plane took off. I closed my ears as it was making too much noice.

Nanamma was discharged from hospital on 12th Jan. She was very happy to see me. We celebrated Bhogi and pongal at home. This time we had Bhogi fire too early in the morning. No camera to take photos for pongal.

Dad went to Bangalore on 17th and came back on 23rd to take all of us to Bangalore on 26th. I was playing with nanamma and thatha. Nanamma recovered fast playing with me.
On 24th we went to exhibition. I liked it as there were lot of toy shops and chocolate stalls. I didnt like it because dad didnt buy me anything I asked for. He said no to toys, chokies, car.... He bought only dresses for me. Ofcourse I liked the dresses.








We started from Hyderabad on 26th. Thathamma also joined us. Now I am back in Bangalore. Thatha and nanamma are here to play with me......
